It's a terrible movie from the early-aughts about an ineffectual white guy feeling lost, and the manic-pixie-dream-girl who saves him

Being white doesn’t matter for better or worse, and terrible is a little harsh, but the rest is fair.

My own private Idaho is a modern classic. True romance? Nah.

I always wonder how I found these films at the time. Pre internet n all. They just seemed to arrive into the sphere.

They both suck. ‘90s indie movies were generally terrible. (Not that TR was indie, really.)

You were there and have seen them all?

But yeah they mostly did.

Singles has a lot to answer for. Both for the format and inspiring so much Mediocrity

Not of the same time or ilk but pump up the volume was excellent and I’ll fight anyone says different.

What a soundtrack too.

I might like Wish I Was Here more than Garden State. Need to see it again, though.

You love the soundtrack.
Cut that out and the live performances (and the pearl jam cameo) and you have a terrible movie.

It’s better than Empire Records, I’ll give it that.

I'll definitely take Empire, thanks. Both are great. But Empire's like all time.

You were born in the wrong era.

Empire is a cheesy classic and also a pretty great soundtrack
