To say the least.
in fairness, they were filmed i think at the same time (if not a majority of them both) so it stands to reason it would be very well crafted

More importantly they were written at the same time as one larger story - the writers/directors started with where they wanted to end up and wrote the story from there (in early drafts the snap was actually the start of endgame). And they spent like 18 months working on it. The russos (and this writing team) are super meticulous about the script, which I guess you'd have to be for a story this large.

To Marvel's credit they let them start far out enough in advance that there was time to do it. Because of the rush to hit release dates so many scripts end up being rushed.

To be fair, a lot of planning has gone into the sequel trilogy from the very start as well, but not executed as well as Infinity War into Endgame.

I’m gonna follow your premise for a minute.
Worst case scenario (which didn’t happen)

JJ has no script.

Fuck it. Well kill them with fan service!
Puts in force ghost Anakin Obi wan and Luke (lifting the ruins of the Death Star out of the sea with the force)

Our heroes go on to win the battle and defeat the first order once and for all

(Always gonna happen anyways no matter what)

Iris out and theme tune.

If it was simple as that I’d still love it and you will too.

It won’t be though.

But but but the fans know best! And their wooly headed leader, who they hated in these new movies, but now love, seems to agree with them!

Disney wins either way!

Pick a different side, like the new X-Men movie

Same here. And you’re both right. I didn’t mean to pose those as an either / or.
Just totally shook and thinking no way Rise can bring a close on that level with that much heart.

I’m historically wrong and hoping it continues
