One of my all-time favorite albums. I hate that they were one and done.

Josh Ritter's "I Still Love You (Now and Then)" is my SOTY so far, but the off-key piano plinking at the end is baffling. At about 4:10 here:
Ugh! I'd pay extra for a version of the song with that removed.

Hey we have a pretty cool "production errors in songs" thread that nobody seems to like but meguestT wrote:Josh Ritter's "I Still Love You (Now and Then)" is my SOTY so far, but the off-key piano plinking at the end is baffling. At about 4:10 here:

Re: Post Random Music-Related Thoughts You Have
I was at my mother-in-laws the other day and they had just set up a record player. My son has gotten into 80's music for some reason so she was playing him some records. The one they were listening to ended so I put a Chicago record on.
Chicago is a weird band. Like, I picked up their greatest hits album and there are so many songs on there that I know but the singers sound so different I had no idea they are all the same band. Weird finding out this band was so integral to my music listening on the radio in the 80s. Walking through the greatest hits album is strange because they're kind of esoteric songs and then suddenly it's ballad-city. Like, who hurt you?
Love to hear thoughts from people who actually have been fans for years instead of me and my "oh is that who that is?"

I don't get the over the top love for The Woods. It's just okay, for me. The crazy vibrato on her vocals turns me off. All I can think of is Jim Carrey in Cable Guy, when I hear it.

Listening to Smash Mouth's "Walking on the Sun" right now. For the longest time I thought he was singing "old enough to be laid" instead of "old enough to relate."
