I'm talking about the age of the actors, not the characters. And there are plenty of times when he's not in the Vision suit.

Well hell. Surely Micheal Douglas is 20 years older than Michelle Pfeiffer. He’s like 80 now.

And she didn’t have her little time GPS think to keep her anchored to anything/when. She was just floating around aimlessly. Lang was too, but he got out a lot sooner than she did.

I liked this article talking about how weird it is that the movie exists in the first place.

https://io9.gizmodo.com/its-audacious-t ... 1834398548

There's the capability for them to do it again but it won't be the 1.2 billion opening weekend kind of movie. There's just no way to replicate this event.

I take that back, there's one way to do it:

Great article, and I completely agree, although there is enough crossover with the other MCU franchises that are earlier in their development that I think another story of this scale can be pulled off. They are losing a lot of star power, and I don't think anyone is there to fill the void of RDJ. I'd suspect that he'll still be around in some form, even if it's only his voice, as Paul Bettany was before becoming Vision.

You know, one thing I absolutely can't stand is when people clap at the end of a movie. I feel this way because there's nobody there you're clapping for. Applause is something given to another person/people to show your appreciation for their performance or efforts. You're just clapping at a screen when you do it at a movie, and sorry, but I think it looks kinda stupid.

That said, it was all I could do to not clap when RDJ came on the screen in the end credits.

clearly they will need to rebuild since new characters cannot immediately replicate the appeal of established characters. But on the plus side the last two new characters they introduced (Black Panther and Captain Marvel) each grossed a billion dollars, and 'lesser' characters like Dr. Strange were probably elevated by this process.

I think they'll be fine - even if they can't fully replicate this success, to be fair nothing has ever been this successful. So failing to hit that bar is probably okay.

Ah cmon

Sitting in a packed theatre for a film like this or s Star Wars opening night and having the room Burst into cheers and applause for the fanfare or the hammer flying to Cap, is fuckin awesome. It enhances the whole experience I reckon. A communal experience. Why else go?
People here clap at the end of big release films like these all the time.

Someone i know who’s a better person than me told me long ago before end credits scenes, the biggest respect you can pay the filmmakers is to stay for all the credits and acknowledge their contributions.

*also the theatre will be empty and you can check for lost wallets or phones and make a killing.

But she meant the first part sincerely.

I hate people and am becoming an old fuddy-duddy in my middle-agedness. I can barely stand having a stranger sitting next to me and having to listen to them shove popcorn in their face and slurp their soda (even though i'm doing the exact same :haha: ).

Well I’m with you 100% on that and I’m the very same.

But big event movies like this or Star Wars, I think the joy and the elevated energy in the room, especially if you’re only a casual fan like me in this instance, brings a lovely happy enhanced experience. It’s a lot of good damn fun
