I love Efron and I dig the director. Didn’t know this was coming to Netflix.tree_ wrote:I'm looking forward to watching the new Ted Bundy biopic starring Zac Effron, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. It just came to Netflix today! I feel this role is perfect for Mr. Zac, of whom I'm typically not very fond. I will probably watch it tonight or tomorrow.

Well, with 50 minutes left, I do wish I was watching Fellini’s Roma instead.LoathedVermin72 wrote:The shitty one then.Anders wrote:The 2018 Alfonso Cuarón Netflix movie.LoathedVermin72 wrote:The good one or the shitty one?Anders wrote:Roma

I was mostly bored after a while, but my girlfriend loved it.
The movie follows a Mexican maid for a year. It’s very slow and meticulous. I won’t spoil the movie, but events unfold, and she has to handle some challenging times.

She does have to clean up a lot of dogshit.
The movie is black and white, and the cinematography is first class. Can pause the movie at random times, and what you see is like a painting.

I liked the movie. It reminded me of my own maid.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
Yeah, i liked Efron in this. The movie is a mess, and sometimes it had the feel of a tv cheap drama or something. Sometimes it felt like a SNL spoof.

Happy Death Day 2U.
What a shame...they took the slasher, the horror movie out of this and left a very poorly written sci fi movie. Its boring and long. Its a shame because the first one was so fun, looked awesome and the cast was also cool.

Mother!
What a brilliant fucking film. So, I'm not well versed in horror as a genre, which I admit. I'm sure Mother! isn't the first (or probably even the best) openly feminist horror film but it's the first I've seen. And it's glorious.
If anyone has other recommendations for feminist horror films, I'm all ears. Please recommend.

Re: What movies are you watching?
I wouldn’t call mother! a horror film (nor would I call it feminist, frankly), but here’s noteworthy horror that could be called feminist:
Season of the Witch
I Spit on Your Grave
The Slumber Party Massacre
XX
The Lords of Salem
