Star Wars greatest hits, just like Infinity War.
Interesting that so many stories are ending this year. Marvel, SW, GoT. Big year for endings.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
It’s kinda funny to look back and see how they handled movies back when the OT came out. To complete the popular sci-fi trilogy in 1983 and not do anymore takes some cajones. I bet 20th Century Fox was asking GL to do more SW films.
Now we get beat to death with franchises.
You stop with the SW OT in 1983 and you have 3 awesome films.
Now we are in 2019 with 3 awesome films and 7 mediocre ones.

Yes, its interesting to reflect on that.
The prequels should have been awesome and they are not and the new sequels...im on the fence on those because i need this new movie to have a full comprehension of them.

I said stories and I mean that. Sure there's going to be more of all of what I said but the big stories are done.LoathedVermin72 wrote:None of that is ending

Not a popular opinion but I truly hope the Skywalker saga ends with IX.
Every pod I listen to disagrees and think we’ll see X within a few years.
I hope not.
It’s an entire galaxy. Go explore it in other stories.

I wanna see force ghost Anakin in this more than anything.
But could a sith guost Palpatine appear to kylo? All shimmering or smokey in red?
That could be awesome. And a gateway to Anakin appearing to snap kylo out of it

God, why? They’ve already ruined the one appearance it’s made by replacing Sebastian Shaw.dimejinky99 wrote:I wanna see force ghost Anakin in this more than anything.

Sit with me a minute.
What more of a perfect way to tie all this together, than having Anakin (hayden) in the prequels, appearing as a force ghost in ROTJ and later coming to school his progeny in the final film?
It makes all the sense in the world.

Oh my god, isn't Star Wars broken enough?
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Hayden really deserves it. He will forever be Anakin Skywalker.

I have never loved you more.
But the character and story deserves it. This isn’t about Luke. He’s only part of the story.
It’s all Anakin.
Anakin Is the touchstone they went to first in the sequels. Vader’s helmet.
Round it out. Make it about him.
And then make it R2 saving the galaxy.

I just hope they don't rely too much on force ghosts. TFA had zero and TLJ had 1. Now with the rumors running rampant on the internet, it sounds like we'll have a dozen ghost appearances.

I just feel like anakin as a force ghost would be nothing but fan service at this point. who would he appear to? Rey? What would be the point of that?

Look over at endgame.
IX is never going to have such a uniformly and unanimously appreciated final chapter.
The only way out is fan service. And fan service is fine. Endgame was 99% fan service.
Tie the whole thing up.
Lando and Palpatine is ok.
But force ghosts are fan service?
I’m probably more tuned into his community than most here but the majority I know is on board and wants it.
