That was intense. The video creeped me out. And I agree that Todd is great. Creepy yet charming, like Walt used to be.

Totally agree, FJ. It's a shame that Todd wasn't introduced a little earlier.

I think that they could have coexisted, though.

I know opinions are opinions, but how anyone doesn't see down this line of reasoning is beyond me.

Spoiler: show
i thought the use of the tarantula crawling toward jesse was a good reminder of drew sharp. then, his being indifferent toward it was a good reminder for us of jesse's belief that walt is untrustworthy, manipulative and evil (like the whistling after drew sharp's death). jesse then proceeded to call walt out on his bullshit/passive-aggressive act as oppose to just asking jesse for the favor of leaving town. the reminder, rather than realization, of huell's prior pocket picking and it's ramifications, was the last straw. walt has already cost jesse people that he loves (and he only knows of andrea & brock... not jane). now he's being asked to leave town, to disappear so that walt can keep the one's he loves, even though walt's family is the one causing this thing to crumble (hank, who jesse has obvious and clear feelings toward).

i'm now wondering if the white house is abandoned, as we know it to be from the flash forwards, b/c jesse burns it. all the screen grabs i can find don't show fire damage, but they're also very dark rooms. other than that, it's obvious jesse is going to die b/c walt takes on his look with the army jacket, but walt has also killed anybody that's been interrogated by hank (first gus, and then mike).

i loved the confession video, and jesse's breaking from the plan to disappear means walt can pin gale's death on hank too, b/c he can say jesse did it to cover up for hank. that then ties up the loose end of gale's notebook message and the poetry collection message found in walt's house.

also, b/c i read that article that was linked earlier about paying attention to what colors people wear:

both hank and marie are in dark clothes as they learn that walt has turned the table and is now threatening to accuse them of masterminding this drug ring. as is mentioned in that article, the more "bad" people become, the darker their clothes get. so hank's learning of how his medical bills were paid for paints him into a corner as far as prosecuting walt & skylar. a "bad" corner i'd presume from his attire. especially considering marie wasn't wearing purple, she was admitting her "bad" side by finally explaining that hank's hands were dirty too.
walt's army jacket looks more like todd's in this episode.

I loved the first scene with Todd...it felt like something out from a good Tarantino movie. Really nice...

About the video..classic Walter manipulation, great way to handle Hank & Marie..and him talking with Walt Jr about his cancer coming back?
Im not sure about Jesse realizing about the ricin. Well see what happens in the next chapters with that...he still has to know about his girlfriend´s death...

But the first scene from last chapter was the first were i thought it felt like a 90s tarantino movie, specially with the Burt Reynolds reference.

Which makes more sense. I'm picking up what you're putting down. I take back that it's lazy writing. It's just ineffective writing (to me). There had to have been a better way to get Jesse there.

i liked that they didn't dumb it down. it annoys me when things are over-explained to the audience. there's no doubt jesse would have been thinking about that ricin cigarette every day since it went missing. he's obviously been doing nothing but thinking about the whole thing the last three episodes. how much pondering does he need to do before he figures shit out? once he discovers how it was taken from him it all clicks. perfect.

True. Even if you think is lazy writing, its good storytelling.

Exactly...it didn't strike me as weak writing at all, provided that you feel that Jesse knows, already, what Walter has honestly become. He only needed a minor piece of the puzzle to click into place; I think he was already at the point where considered Walt capable of such an action, so all he needed was the stimulus he needed to connect the dots, and Huell's action did the job.

And, also, he originally thought walter did it anyway, doesn't take much to push Jesse over the edge, with his current mental state and all.

Yeah, I don't know. It felt a little forced. I would rather it had been a mystery to him, and he'd retaliate against Walt for some other reason.

It's fine, I'm just being picky. It's not nearly as big of a stretch as that absurd magnet caper so many people here were supporting last season.
