Just downloaded and will soon listen to Boston 2004, which I haven't listened to in yeeeeears. If you're listening, PJ HQ: this would make a good Vault release!

first night was great, second was kinda "meh"

Listening now, only a few songs into the first night. I remember this show being a real burner (in a good way), but I also remember the sound being not-so-great (I was about halfway back on the floor). I can hear it on the boot, too, I think--the band sounds far away and a little "tinny," and I don't think the fact that it's an audience recording. A well-mixed recording would probably be a classic boot if it ever gets released.

Noblesville, IN 2000. One of the first boots I got from the NA leg of the 2000 tour. I think I aquired it in a trade with one of the original creators / collaborators of TSIS. Haven't listened to this one in a long time. Still probably my favorite version of NAIS. Mike does some cool effects coming out of the second solo. I think this boot has the only version of Throw Your Arms Around Me from 2000 as well. Still not a fan of Pilate though. After listening to a lot of the more recent boots it's refreshing to hear GTF and Corduroy played at slower tempos. It almost gives a more intimate feel to the performance. Overall an enjoyable listen, but not top tier from 2000.

I was at this show. What a beautiful night. Throw Your Arms Around Me under the full moon remains one of my favorite Pearl Jam moments to this day.

Ed mentioned how nice of a night it was a few times. Sounds like it was a great show to be at. I'm jealous of TYAAM. It seems like Ed only plays it on special occasions or when the mood fits. It was a beautiful rendition that seemed to suit the night perfectly.

2-20-2003, Melbourne 3. After binging on several mid 90's shows this week, it's nice to mix things up with Can't Keep as the opener into Breakerfall.

I'm re-listening to a few of the 2000 boots that I haven't listened to in a while. Today was the Ice Bowl from Alpine Valley. Considering how cold it was, the band sounds really tight. There were so good by this point of the 2000 Tour. Dissident is the version from Touring Band 2K. While listening to the song I was able to picture Mike making his cold faces / gestures that were caught so well on the DVD. Porch was a highlight with the "It's OK" tag to end the main set. I haven't been able to find a SOLAT from the Binaural tour that I really enjoy. The version from this boot sounds sloppy as well. A nice version of RVM ends the show. Ed was thanking the crowd after the song ends. He was making a nice little speach that I thought was going to segue nicely into Yellow Ledbetter. Given how accustomed I've come to it closing the show it seemed a bit awkard to end the show without it. Overall a fantastic boot and a really enjoyable listen.

I remember that now from your Live on 3 Legs compilation. That is a stellar version. I think I remember that St. Louis show being pretty good. Gonna have to give that boot a listen soon.

I listened to Nagoya today for the same reason. There were some nice moments, but the band was definitely not as tight as they were by later in the '03 tour. The Improv and Immortality were clearly the highlights and they struggled with the new Riot Act songs. After listening to this boot, I am glad (and appreciative) that a compilation is finally being made for the Japan shows. There were some really great moments throughout those 5 concerts, as well as some really rough performances. A compilation should do a really good job of showing how special some of those performances were. Whoever said in the Japan compilation thread that these shows were like rehearsals, was 100% right.

That's easily a top 5 show from the entire tour. I might even rank it #1 on my list.

They sound mean and hungry in Saratoga. They come roaring out of the gate and the energy level is high throughout and their performance is top notch. There are a lot of excellent 2000 boots but Saratoga is a cut above the rest.
