Scott’s suicide was always telegraphed and almost roadmapped maybe especially on this record but it’s an incredible beautiful record despite that not because of that.

I miss a good hunch or speculation: I am going to guess, based on no evidence that Friday, May 10th will be the rollout of a new single and info on the next album. This is mostly due to me wanting that to happen. That’s all.

that's what i'm thinking. late november / early december. sets up an Australian summer tour in January/February after the holidays. Euro festivals in June/July. And a US tour in the fall.

although i wish they'd forget those old school models and realize it's ok to release an album without the full blown touring cycle. but if you wait 8 years between albums, it kind of sets you up for that by default.

New York doesn’t get that much love these days. ‘16, ‘13 and ‘10. Boston apparently has every other year at worst because they want to pack them in at Fenway and then wrigley. I hope they stop the stadium shows and play reasonably sized places.

2023 - Stone Gossard dies from dysentery
2027 - Mike and Boom die in a plane crash on a trip to Thailand to "enjoy the customs and people".
2031 - 40 year anniversary edition of Ten re-remixed by B'OB.
2036 - Matt beats up Ed over royalty arguments
2041 - Ed wakes up from coma, induced by beating. Due to severe brain damage, he remixes Ten and re-releases it off his own bat. It sounds like animals mating.
2042 - Ed dies from Polio.
2051 - Matt completely re-records Ten under the band name "Euphemism For Semen". He plays all instruments and vocals. Album goes quadruple platinum.
