I think one thing to be learned from the Avengers franchise is that creative collaboration and direction are good things. James Cameron, not unlike George Lucas, seems to reside in a creative bubble where nobody has the guts to question things he does. It’s why the Star Wars prequels were garbage and why Cameron still thinks people are interested in more Avatar movies 10 years later.

Sure the 3D and visual effects were a sight to see at the time but the story, acting...you know, the things that hold most movies up, absolutely sucked balls. Nothing that made that movie such a blockbuster hit is new and exciting anymore, and I would venture if it came out today it wouldn't be anywhere near the highest-grossing film of all time.
No. No you’re not.
I hadn't seen this movie until recently on regular TV and it was so awful I couldn't understand why it was number one. Husband reminded me it was a technological wonder in its day.

I didn’t say they’re good but fucking ANYTHING is better than the intensely bland lifelessness of Marvel movies. Gimme a bold swing-and-a-miss by an auteur any fucking day.

He likes the Transformers movies so his taste in blockbusters is highly questionable.

I agree. Even if I do have a problem with the Avatar story/villains. Too cliche. I also had a very good time watching both Avengers movies.

But, I’ve seen the prequels ten+ times, Avatar twice in the cinema and 3-4 times since. Will be a long time before I see Endgame again.

i love the whole, marvel movies suck crowd. they werent made for you

but those who paid their money to see the movies did so to the tune of just under 20 billion dollars among 22 films. take away the four avengers movies and thats still over 700 million on average for the remaining movies

they are doing something right to have the most people see what they have put together. accept it and move on, i promise the world wont stop spinning if you stop peeing in your diapers
Did the Mother Fucker pay extra to yell?
