For the record, I saw them as an adult.

I'm not gonna tell anyone what they should or should not watch. But I genuinely LOVE The Holiday Special and the Ewok movies. I don't give a shit about whether or not they're canon. They are full of joy and wonder and pure bonkers fantasy.

I saw the Ewok movies as a kid and was fascinated by them. Especially Caravan of Courage which, like The Dark Crystal, I found terrifying and magical and unlike anything else I was seeing at the time.

I saw the Christmas Special when I was much older and I just adore it. It's not a shtick for me at all. Watching it again on May the Fourth reminded me how wonderful it is and I'm going to make it a Holiday tradition from here on out.

Fandom can be so weird and polarizing and divisive. I get that. If dime doesn't want to watch these, we should leave him alone about it. Let him enjoy what he wants to enjoy. But the reverse is also true. I love these movies and I'll continue to watch them with joy in my heart.

I watched the Ewok movies when they aired but haven't seen them since. I really just remember the girl being dumb and Wilford Brimley being Wilford Brimley.

The Ewok movies remind me a lot of Willow, too. Which I also loved as a kid. Though, it's been forever since I've seen any of them (Ewoks or Willow).

The Ewok movies were fantastic for me as a child. I would love to watch them again but have had a hard time actually finding a copy of them to watch online.

The holiday special is just no. Hard pass. I've tried but i just can't.

:haha:

I genuinely understand that reaction to the Holiday Special and I don't hold it against anyone. It's a very specific and unique thing.
