In all seriousness, taking into considerations the albums, physical merch, collectibles, tape trading, concert tix, travel costs, and other things.... how much money would you say you’ve spent on Pearl Jam through your life?

I've seen them live twice and I own the first eight albums + Lost Dogs + Rearviewmirror on CD. I also bought Touring Band 2000, Live at the Garden, and Immagine in Cornice on DVD.bodysnatcher wrote:In all seriousness, taking into considerations the albums, physical merch, collectibles, tape trading, concert tix, travel costs, and other things.... how much money would you say you’ve spent on Pearl Jam through your life?
So at, let's say, 10 bucks a pop, that's $100 USD on CDs. Let's say $15 each for the DVDs, that's $45. I don't think I spent more than another $100 between the two shows (one was a festival and the other was really cheap). I've never bought any merch. Including the bus fares to the concerts, I'm estimating that I've spent around $250 USD on the band over my lifetime.

A t shirt, 4 concerts(one I never made it to), Single Video Theory VHS, Ten through Riot Act, Lost Dogs, Live on Two Legs, about 10 singles, 3 official bootlegs(2000 Tour), and I was a Ten Club member for one year(2000).
Around $600.
Around $600.

Re: Post Random Pearl Jam-Related Thoughts You Have
I’m somewhere in between those numbers. I never bought a dvd after touring band or any merch at all. I did buy a dozen singles in the 90’s, but almost always got those used because that was the only type of music store available to me. I saw four shows over two road trips, but I stayed on a military base for one and in a cheap motel in Fargo for the other. Didn’t buy any compilation stuff besides lost dogs, and I never got any remastered boxes. Maybe $500?

I’d be down around $2500. I bought a lot of 90s bootlegs at ridiculous prices.

Cassettes, multiple copies of the CDs thru Yield, some vinyl, an embarrassing number of the official bootlegs, singles, soundtracks and comps, etc: $1,000
DVDs: $150
Ten Club memberships: $60
T-shirts: $25
Shows (2): $100
Ten sheet music book I definitely needed when I was 13: $20
$1,500ish?

I’m at $10k easy. Maybe even double that if you wrap in all the related travel costs, pre-show beers and such...
