Best French Fries?

i put them in the air fryer and they're great.

Air fryers are a blessing for frozen fried foods. I don't think we've tried any raw potatoes with it, though.

i love my air fryer (we got the phillips XXL). we use it for a ton of things.

with raw potatoes, the best i've made is with red potatoes where i put them in foil with water, seal it tightly, and cook for about 20 minutes. then i take them out out and smash them, and then mix them with salt, pepper, olive oil, and thyme and cook them in the fryer for another 15 minutes or so. they're awesome.

We have a Phillips, too. I will try your red potatoes. How much water do you put in there, just a squirt? Do you re-wrap them in the foil after smashing?

I have issues with this list.

- DQ way too low.

- McDonalds way too high.

- Jack In The Box curly fries left off completely.

But I agree that In N Out fries are definitively the worst.

Fast food fries are all mediocre to terrible. I don't think a single fast food franchise is worthy to win the "best french fries" category. But I do think it would interesting to see which of the fast food fries RM (collectively) thinks is tops.
