I don’t believe Carrell in dramatic roles. Even before I ever saw The Office - I just don’t buy him in that context.

For me, the problem isn't Carrell, it's the weird desire for Hollywood to romanticize addiction.

It's not that hard to tell a good movie from a bad movie, but I don't think most people care that much. I might listen to an interview with an actress on Fresh Air or dive deep into a review if I really like a movie, but that's about it. Even going to a terrible movie is a fun experience aside from sticker shock at the ticket booth and the concession stand.

i mean sometimes it can be fun or acceptable to watch a bad or subpar movie, but to say you don't really differentiate between good and bad ones is a bit bizarre to me

I enjoy stories. I enjoy being told them by others.

I dont think i've ever hated a movie i've watched. Ever. I at least find some enjoyment even if its the worst thing I've ever laid eyes on.
