Chad, out of anyone here I would have expected you to value team concerns over individual statistics.

You know I wanted nothing more than for him to strike out 23 batters, but letting him blow his arm out for something like that is SUCH a Farrell move.cutuphalfdead wrote:i know butnumbers wrote:You know it was the right move to pull him.cutuphalfdead wrote:seriously

Tough game for Pretty Ricky. That was the first time all season that he's gotten fewer than 5 runs of support. It seemed like the Sox were plenty patient at the plate, but couldn't push those runners across (which is gonna happen when Nuñez is your DH).

I just came here to say that I enjoy the commentary from the NESN booth. I like to watch visiting team broadcasts when my team is on the road. How long has Eckersely been up there?

He's been on the NESN team for a while now, and in the past couple of years he's been in the booth more and more while Remy's been sick. I hope you get your fill of Backdoor Johnsons before the weekend is over.washing machine wrote:I just came here to say that I enjoy the commentary from the NESN booth. Re: Boston Red Sox Thread
Last night was the only game I could watch in the comfort of my home, and even then it was just the late innings. He kept predicting different late inning scenarios for the Sox and ending it with “...then everyone goes home happy.” It was folksy and I loved it.
