Re: Stephen King's The Dark Tower
About the same for me: If he hadn't said that, I wouldn't have remembered where I read it!
I was just pointing out about how much I enjoy pretty much anything he writes, that's all.

Re: Stephen King's The Dark Tower
three or four times, yeah.
I showed it to my son and said he should read it and he vehemently disagreed. Apparently he's under the impression that every single SK book is a gorefest that will make him pee with fear if he reads it. Which is about 85% true but still, the book is titled "On Writing"...is a giant quill pen going to appear out of nowhere and stab someone to death? Talk about deus ex machina.

That sounds like an idea for a King book.bune wrote:three or four times, yeah.

Anyone else read Duma Key? I keep waiting to find something that ties it to DT, but so far, nothing. I quite enjoyed it, tho.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it.
