Re: NBA Thread
I think its pretty hilarious how the ESPN broadcast team hasn't even mentioned Durant during the last few games. If Durant signs with the warriors people are going to shit on him all over again. Nobody wants to see him there. Nobody ever did.

Re: NBA Thread
I hate both versions but the ball movement is so much better without him and it has really seemed to unchain Draymond. He looks important again.

Rich kids. I hate spoiled rich kids. Has Riley gotten breast implants and dropped out of school yet?

So people whose parents played in the NBA aren't allowed to succeed? Seriously? They grew up playing basketball everyday and liked it so much they spent all day in the gym.
At some point you have to credit the work ethic and tenacity of both children to get where they are. That's instilled by the parents but certainly isn't bought. NBA MVP's don't generally come up through Davidson College.
I'm not sure why you would hate the Curry's. Dislike fine, Steph is not Jordan, but what he does fits for his era.
All the coaching clinic's in the world won't buy you a seat on an NBA roster that you can keep anyway.

That's not true obviously but forgive me if I don't worship at the alter of Steph for having every opportunity to succeed due to his family wealth and connections. He might just as well be a senior Whitehouse advisor.Monkey_Driven wrote:Only players who grew up poor can succeed in the league.

Re: NBA Thread
Other than Kobe, how many kids of former NBA players have even made the league, let alone won an MVP? It's not like he's some 6'8 guy coming into the league with oodles of athleticism.verb_to_trust wrote:That's not true obviously but forgive me if I don't worship at the alter of Steph for having every opportunity to succeed due to his family wealth and connections.
