not sure. but they also took tyrion prisoner, so maybe there were exceptions for those closest to dany.darth_vedder wrote:1. We just spent time learning how the unsullied aren't taking prisoners, but then when Jon kills their leader, THAT'S when they decide to take a prisoner? Why not execute him on the spot?
see, i think their support of him is what spared his life. but they also realized that while his act was noble, they just couldn't let him off scott-free. my problem with them not being able to do that is that jaime killed a king and didn't receive the same punishment.darth_vedder wrote:2. Why did Varys, Tyrion, Davos, the North, etc.. support Jon UNTIL he stabbed Dany? Literally everyone was begging him to take the throne, and then they all were like, "ugh, I don't know who to choose...." when it came time to pick the next ruler.

i read earlier that it was either the smartest dragon realizing that the throne represented the corrupting body-politik against which dany initially raged or the dumbest in thinking that the swords from the throne were the same ones that killed dany.
because that dream sequence at the end of season 2 where she was walking in a ruined throne room with what everyone thought was snow falling didn't have them. that's the only thing i can think of.darth_vedder wrote:4. Why didn't Dany have any guards around her?
