entertaining question, for sure. one the one hand, i'd say 3:1, because i'm sure they think it's great and it's also one less song to write. on the other, they may have realized it was a flop, and want to try something different. if that's true, it's a bit scary, because we know what they create when they try and make modern hits.

i really hope it's not wishful thinking and willful naivete to think that they realize it just doesn't cut it and they can spin it like "we had so many other songs we decided to leave it as a single instead of putting it on the album."

I was actually kind of bummed that they included the finished full band version on S/T. But whatever. It's a good song and I like having a couple versions, ultimately.
