For example, the episode where Homer wakes up from a dream screaming "Marge! I think I hate Ted Koppel! No, wait... I find him informative and witty." was changed to "Marge! I think I hate Michael Jackson! No, he is a good performer and person." Confusingly, the episode where Luke Perry made an appearance on Krusty's show, he was referred to as "Robert Redford".
I just found another example of this. On the dubbed version of the clip show where they show the deleted scene where Mr. Burns releases the Robotic Richard Simmons, the name "Richard Simmons" was changed to "Lorenzo Lamas". Bizarre

Hank Scorpio: There it is, folks. My pride and joy... the death ray 3000. And it's all thanks to you, Simpsons. You ever see a death reay that big, Homer?
Homer: Once.
Hank Scorpio: Oh, you haven not. Where?
Homer: At the store.

Decent Canada themed episode. tonight. I liked how Oh Canada played over the closing credits.
Anything else worth watching on tonight? Anything?

there is a local LA tv channel that shows the simpsons on a nightly basis at 6pm..the only description they give on the guide every night is:
Homer and Marge Simpson raise Bart, Lisa, and baby Maggie in Springfield, where eccentric residents make everyday life interesting..

Donald Sutherland is so good in Lisa the Iconoclast.

On the new episode of his podcast, I was very happy that Conan mentioned maybe my all-time favorite Simpsons joke: “Ohhhhhh, a gym.”

Renewed through season 32. Or 33. Which is insane.

Fox Latin America has this crazy marathon thing going on where every day of May they are playing an entire season, culminating in the premiere of the new season. I caught some of it yesterday. They're up to the early-20s. I think as much bellyaching as we all do about how bad the show has gotten, this stretch of seasons immediately following The Simpsons Movie represents their absolute nadir. Just total trash.
