I can't really tell the difference in performance between the 3 and the 3a when switching apps, watching YouTube and day-to-day phone shit. (I always go into developer mode and turn off all animations.)

The only lag I see is when using Portrait mode or Night Sight. There's probably an extra second delay when Google's working its photo magic while processing.

And the screen on the 3a looks better to me, there's a headphone jack and I don't have to worry about a glass back if I drop the damn thing.

I can say the speakers are similar to my S10e and wife's iPhone Xr.

I've been using the 3a and S10e side-by-side for a couple of days (Sprint fucked something up that locked sim cards out of the 3a until late afternoon yesterday) and the only noticeable lag (on the 3a) is in gaming.

Games take about anywhere from a split second extra to like 10 seconds extra for PUBG Mobile. Once in-game, there's really no lag or dropped frames that I can see, but the initial load and cut scenes are faster on the S10e.

I guess if mobile gaming is your bag, go with the Samsung S10e, which most carriers have for like $15 a month, but if you use your phone for just general day-to-day shit or photography, go with the 3a, because the S10e can't hold a candle to the 3a for photography and ease-of-use. Samsung's new UI is a lot better than it used to be, but it's NOT better than vanilla Android.

Got the 3a in the mail the other day. I got it to replace my wife's nexus 5. She's not a phone person and would probably have been happy if I had gotten her an iPhone SE because she hates how big phones are now.

It's weird how I have a 2xl that should be getting the latest/greatest updates but the launchers are different. Also wtf is up with the case situation? How is it that iPhones have so many cases available but android phones - even flagship ones - are basically serviced from shitty Chinese companies with impossible names?

TopACE, AVIDET, Topnow, SUPCASE, Sucnakp, Spigen, Yiakeng, Asmart, and, my favorite, HNHYGETE. The fuck. And half of them are the exact same case, just different prices.

Spigen make some great quality Android cases. I've used them for years.

SUPCASE and Spigen are both great brands for cases.

Almost a month into the 3a and it's the best phone I've ever owned. Particularly when you consider I paid $150 for it.

Better than the Pixel 2 and the iPhone SE.

I feel bad for the suckers who bought the Pixel 3.

The fine print says that it could take up to 6 weeks to be credited to your account after the promotion ends.

Thanks. Yeah, the order page doesn't show anything about it for me so I was worried.
