Well he has been playing politician for a good chunk of the last 20 years.
And also True Lies and Last Action hero are two of my favorite action movies of all time.
Apparently i need to watch the Expendables series.

Re: Post Random Movie-Related Thoughts You Have
For me Arnold had an incredible run from '82-'94. He was probably the closest thing to a boyhood hero I ever had. Outside of Raw Deal which try as I might I could never get into he really could do no wrong for me. I even loved Red Sonja. Top 10? He only made 15 during that period. Hmmmm....in no order.Anders wrote:What are his ten best movies?bada wrote:I LOVE Arnold but the guy hasn't made a good movie in almost 30 years.

Predator
Terminator
Running Man
Commando
Terminator 2

Fun fact: The school from that movie is just down the road from the Goonies house. Though sadly the people who own the Goonies house are fucking idiots who bought the house and seem to want nothing to do with the people who go out there for Goonies stuff.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:kindergarten cop, guys

Terminator 2's special effects have aged amazingly well; doesn't feel like a nearly 28 year movie at all.

Re: Post Random Movie-Related Thoughts You Have
Can't stop thinking about this bit from the first volume of Will Durant's The Story of Civilization. This seems like an appropriate thread to post it in.
“Art is the creation of beauty. It is the expression of thought or feeling in a form that seems beautiful or sublime. … The thought may be any capture of life's significance, the feeling may be any arousal or release of life's tensions. The form may satisfy us through rhythm, which falls in pleasantly with the alternations of our breath, the pulsation of our blood, and the majestic oscillations of winter and summer, ebb and flow, night and day. Or the form may please us through symmetry, which is a static rhythm, standing for strength, and recalling to us the ordered proportions of plants and animals, of women and men. Or it may please us through color, which brightens the spirit or intensifies life. Or, finally, the form may please us through veracity, because its lucid and transparent imitation of nature or reality catches some mortal loveliness of plant or animal, or some trenchant meaning of circumstance, and holds it still for our lingering enjoyment or leisurely understanding.”

I adore The Neon Demon. It's a beautiful and brilliant film. I would not stand and/or clap for it, though. Especially not for 17 fucking minutes.
