These titles combined with the art are making me more optimistic about the album. Dont let me down, Pearl Jam!
I also get the feeling there's some kind of theme going on with this album.

It certainly seems to all be part of a unified whole. Recurring themes and all that.
I hope all of those recurring themes are about specifically tearing apart Obama.

That pic has a very "Jonah and the whale" vibe. Apocalypse, the earth being swallowed in judgement, etc.

They've been making this album for 4 years and they stumped for Obama less than a year ago. You do the math.....evenslow wrote:It certainly seems to all be part of a unified whole. Recurring themes and all that.

It was an allusion to the Illumineddie obsession found in another thread. Dumb joke. Nothing to see here.Iowaska_Experience wrote:They've been making this album for 4 years and they stumped for Obama less than a year ago. Um, I think evenslow is joking based on the Stip / IlluminEddie drama earlier on. Also, they haven't been making the album for 4 years at all. 4 months, for the bulk of it.Iowaska_Experience wrote:They've been making this album for 4 years and they stumped for Obama less than a year ago. Haha, yeah I thought it was a basketball too at first. Is the song maybe an anti-Phoenix Suns rant?

Sorry guys, I try to limit myself to reading only one thread, except when Stip has the audacity (of hope?) to split a perfectly good 300+ page thread. . . . .harmless wrote:Um, I think evenslow is joking based on the Stip / IlluminEddie drama earlier on. Re: Lightning Bolt -- guess the tracks!
Kinda what we were alluding to shortly after LB and FD were heard...maybe we were actually onto something. ..this album artwork is starting to creep me out though...the imagery is evoking uneasy feelings for me....don't know why, but that's a good thing. The art is causing me to think...and... I think I'm going to love this album if there is a central theme that connects everything.harmless wrote:That pic has a very "Jonah and the whale" vibe. This is so fucking great so far. The idea, the execution, the social aspect, the art, etc etc.
Really dig "Swallowed Whole".
I can see all these individual song artworks being released as individual square sheets in the album packaging, sort of like the polaroids in No Code. Would be sweet in the vinyl packaging

Re: Lightning Bolt -- guess the tracks!
The artwork has managed to raise expectations for this thing, which is probably bad. But I'll take it.

ominous glow on that one. Feels a bit different from the rest of these pieces, doesn't it?
