he could but . . . you know . . . why would he put his powers to good use? it's much better just sitting around with those closest to you that know about your powers carrying on as if nothing ever happened and never questioning why he never f'ing uses his damn powers.

I'm not sure how respected of a king he'd be. Most common folk would think he's just a crippled crazy guy who actually thinks he's a bird.

Common folk tend to care more about their day to day unless they’re starving or dying than who their king actually is
