Anyway, one of my favorite breweries released another batch of my favorite NE/Hazy IPA of the last year or so... Hazy Cat Lady from 12 West. Not sure how I feel about the cheesy Samsung B&W background effect.

Were you being facetious with the hazy notion here?

No. It's actually hazier than it looks there, but not as hazy as other NE IPAs.

It looks like a good beer actually, I'm always interested to see how the 'Juicy or Hazy Style Ales' are represented outside of New England.

Becky Likes The Smell is a good beer. Got hooked by an in store rep peddling free samples. First thing I did was take a whiff, and told him it smelled good. He grinned.

Interesting timing:

Makers of Samuel Adams, Dogfish Head beers to merge in $300M deal

I think they are using the term merger as everyone freaks out about the macros purchasing the smaller craft establishments but the deal sure comes off like an acquisition:
Under the deal, Dogfish Head shareholders will receive $173 million in cash, according to the press release announcing the deal. Calagione and his family will receive about 406,000 shares of Boston Beer stock based on a share price of $314.60, for a total value of $127.5 million. Together, the package reaches $300 million.
I had a feeling something was going to happen since the Brewers Association changed the criteria for a craft brewer around Sam Adams yet again as they now brew more Angry Orchard (cider), Twisted Tea (malt bev) and Truly (seltzer) than actual beer. I finished Sam Calagione's update to Brewing Up a Business recently and it was still pretty evident that there wasn't exactly an exit strategy in place so it'll be interesting to see how this settles out. The market sure is changing and I see the craft middle-tier set to receive the most pressure with the decreasing National beer sales.

Interesting merger. Hopefully Dogfish Head can kinda stay the same. They have really good restaurants with some beers that you can't get in store. Wonder if they'll add Sam Adams to the menu, and introduce of few of those beers that aren't readily available.

Nothing quenches thirst after a productive fetch session with the dog quite like a Sierra Nevada pale at the ice house.
