This is like pitting The Rolling Stones against Bon Jovi.

Were AFI only big in America? I know they had a #1 record here at one point. They've been around probably close to twenty years I'd imagine.

No, not at all. I'm just curious, cause they were/are big enough in the US that it would shock me if a music fan had never even heard of them, but I have no idea if they were ever big anywhere else.Lounge Lizard wrote:Is this leading to chauvinistic abuse of some sort?Lament wrote:Out of curiosity, what country do you live in?

It depends who you ask. They were always big in the UK amongst the emo tweenie crowd.

I'm a music fan living a small Eastern European country, and I have never heard of AMI (AFI? ACY? See, I forgot the name while I was typing a response...)Lament wrote:Lounge Lizard wrote:No, not at all. At least partly, yeah, which is why I thought they were weird bands to put together unless it's yet another reminder that people don't think PJ are cool.Lounge Lizard wrote:That must be the key characteristic of the Loudwire.com audience, then.harmless wrote:They were always big in the UK amongst the emo tweenie crowd.

Wow, that AFI song almost causes me physical pain.
Edit: I really need to stop reading comment sections on websites. They cause me even more pain.
