Pick a song and sing: The STP tourney

I know sometimes we have a tendency to avoid the big hits in these tournaments. Whether that's just burn out on them or flexing some weird deep cut/superiority reflex muscle or whatever, it happens all the time. I'm certainly guilt of it.

But it's staggering to me that LV managed to grab both Interstate Love Song and Plush without being on a turn. Arguably the bands two biggest songs (like I've seen so much spilled ink devoted to ILS being THE definitive song of the 90s) are on one team! How the fuck did you guys let that happen? He's building a juggernaut that's going to be very difficult to overcome. Or he's gonna have to really fuck this up in major way moving forward and I just don't see him doing that.

I generally gravitate towards deep cuts over hits, not really because of any other reason than I tend to like them more than hits, but if ILS would have been available I would have absolutely drafted it. It's easily one of my favorite 90's song, it's perfect. Never been a big fan of Plush though.

ILS was picked third so it's not like it was overlooked. I strongly considered it, it's easily one of my favorite STP songs. But, I I actually like Silvergun Superman a bit more these days.

And for the record, I've never liked Plush all that much. Even when it was the only STP song that I'd heard, I was pretty luke warm on it. I like it a lot more now than I did back then. But still, it can't be denied that without that song we probably don't know who STP are. And that's huge.
