Eff Plush... That song only existed because of Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, and label pressures to sound like Seattle. I tend to think the real Weiland would have emerged to the masses regardless of that manufactured hit.durdencommatyler wrote:Jeremy is first round talent, bub.VinylGuy wrote:I would have picked ILS yeah, Plush, while i love it, its kinda like picking Jeremy on a second round. I thought about picking it and nope, i prefer other songs.
And for the record, I've never liked Plush all that much. Even when it was the only STP song that I'd heard, I was pretty luke warm on it. I like it a lot more now than I did back then. But still, it can't be denied that without that song we probably don't know who STP are. And that's huge.

I don’t know about that, on the Core boxset the 1990 demo of Plush sounds pretty much the same musically, although it doesn’t have the same chorus and lyrics.Iholdthepain wrote:Eff Plush... Which someone asked earlier about, I didn’t actually buy the box set but I downloaded all the live and demo material that was on it and it’s all classic STP. The live version of Where the River Goes on there ends with Weiland berating the crowd for throwing beer bottles and he tells them to throw drugs on stage instead.

a-hole troll post: whoever drafts "days of the week" deserves to lose this tourney regardless of his other picks.

I haven’t picked any singles yet either.
I’m totally living up to my “I’m only here for the RAWK
“ reputation so far though.

We are entering the best part of these drafts. Almost all the obvious songs are gone. You could take a song now that could be there in round 6 or bet on a song being there a couple rounds from now and it gets gobbled up early. This could be a reach, it might last a few more rounds but I think its their last great song and I want it.

Take a Load Off is definitely a reach, but also the best song from the last album without a doubt. Glide and Ride the Cliche are both probably reaches for me, but I love those songs and I’m happy to have them.

Reid clearly stated that he would be away from rm today for a memorial service, which is why the thread title and song list have not been updated.PHATJ wrote:No pm and no thread title update. Wtf?!Iholdthepain wrote:Noice!VinylGuy wrote:My Pick:
