Crazy.
I don't regret it.

Brie Larson's coverage of this was outstanding. Made me super excited to go to this dumb thing. :heartbeat:

I didn't mean for that to sound condescending. It was more of the comparison of what you can get if you spend the same amount of money for different vacations.

And putting it in perspective, would a child enjoy a Disney vacation more than a trip to Boston to see historical buildings/sites for a week?

I don't fault people for being excited about this. If I were still a kid, I'd probably begging my parents to take me so I could board the Millennium Falcon.

I just can't get excited for it nowadays.

$200 for the lightsabers....$100 for the droids. Lines forever to eat and nowhere to sit. Food and drinks looks horrible. I guess the blue and green milk is really gross. Falcon ride looks like Star Tours. Still really curious about the Rise of the Resistance ride whenever they finish it. Looks like a pass till then. I'd rather walk around Epcot and eat.

You can build a lightsaber for $200 or build a droid for $100.

To be fair the lightsabers are awesome. You build them yourself and the kyber crystal will do different things depending on the parts you choose. The crystal will also give you messages and Jedi knowledge if you put it in the holocron(sold separately )

Droids are pretty sick for $100. By Disney standards, they're a deal.

I want to do that Build-a-Saber thing someday. But listening to that scavenger guy do his presentation made me cringe. That was SUPER uncomfortable and I'm not sure I could handle it in person.

I was thinking the same thing.

Sometimes immersion doesn't work.

Would have been cooler if they had some kind of old Jedi master walking you through the process like that episode of clone wars with the padewans. Think it was a really ancient droid showed them. He’d shown every Jedi for generations how to make theirs and had millions of parts and fittings n stuff. Like the little Wookiee padewan choosing the wooden hilt n all

Huyang is one of my favorite characters in the series! I wish they'd done more with him. Great ep.

They look super cool but I have 2 kids. Not spending that kind of scratch on something they will break fighting each other.

Buy one for yourself. Let them see you do it.
Tell them both they can only have it upon your death when one of them proves themselves worthy.
And stick to it.

You get a cool lightsaber for your man cave and two kids on their best behaviour until you die.

You can go to home depot and make one for way cheaper.
