Rats was sick....considering i had 2 while living in Seattle. they dont' eat, don't sleep, don't care at all that you're human. to think PJ has an obligation....fucking madness. i'll never forget the 2 rats that popped up in my apartment to terrorize us. We caught them both on glue traps and sent them away. I never connected the song with my situation....now its sick to hear em play

God i loved when Ed covered this song. There was a great version that was on the new orleans 95 bootleg that was recorded during soundcheck full PJ that i was obsessed with. This one is great too. Remember how powerful Vedder once was?

Lucky enough to see PJ on 9/5/00 when Ed came out with members of Sonic Youth for a four song set ending with Naked Eye. Amazing! I'd love to see a video of that.

What an amazing thing to find on the youtubes. This was when PJ was opening for Smashing Pumpkins and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Chad Smith and Anthony hadnt arrived yet, and I hopped on Chads kit so Dave Rat could dial up the sound. After this little jam, I was on cloud 9. Just when I thought it couldnt get any cooler, Dave Rat walks up to me and hands me a cassette and with a smile says, "I thought you might like to have this." I looked at the cassette and in sharpie was written;
Dave, Flea & John.
It was a moment that I will always cherish... .
