Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

Agreed...

We got up at 4am to watch the live stream before going to work. Better than coffee!

Nice setlist of rarities sprinkled around the main event, too.

Hope to see them live in the states next year supporting a new album!

A very good interview with director Tim Pope, including commentary on several of the music videos and a lot of interesting anecdotes

Thanks, man. But I have a DVD boot, VHS and LaserDisc of it.

It needs the whole remastering/restoration treatment like Robert promised 10 years ago.

I really hate the quick cuts and crazy camera shit in concert videos... sounds like we get more of that with this release

Clearly Robert doesn't like something about In Orange, a remaster/special edition has been one of the biggest fan requests for years.

For many Cure fans it was the first introduction to their live performances. It was a highly-circulated pre-Kiss Me VHS that many people hold dear.

Yup...

Got the vhs as well... missed out on the laser disc, though

It is an incredible video, performance, and venue!

Listening to the self-titled album now and thinking I've probably been underestimating it all this time

Hmm, yeah, that's one I've always passed up on, not sure I've listened to it more than a handful of times. May have to revisit it, I trust Jorge.

It's been at least a few years since I went back to that stuff, but I recall thinking it was probably the strongest album of their post-1990s output.

I really can't hang with any Cure material with Jason Cooper on drums however, and I'm no great fan of Roger O'Donnell on keys either.

I'm listening to the Anniversary live album and became curious: what does Roger do during the last batch of Three Imaginary Boys era songs? I can't seem to find the keyboards in the mix. He's either not playing or turned way down. On "Boys Don't Cry" he appears to be playing the tambourine, but what about the other songs? Does he just stand there? Or is he playing something I'm not hearing? This live album sounds like total garbage, btw, but I enjoy the performance

I think I can hear keys doubling the lead guitar line in Jumping Someone Else's Train, and perhaps some sustained low-mixed chords during 10:15 Saturday Night - but you're right, they're almost impossible to hear and the mix is generally just awful.

On a "cheerier" note, how great is this Pornography-era in-studio TV performance:

Wonderful to watch that !

Hasn't Robert Smith said they were releasing two albums this year ? Lies, as usual ?

According to Robert, The Cure is forever "about to release a double album"

Yeah, one dark, one light. Kiss me, Kiss me, Kiss me 2. Still waiting in anticipation, though.

Lol Tolhurst participated in a Twitter listening party (part of a series by Tim Burgess) for Faith earlier today, some really enjoyable bits of information came out.
(The above Tweet is a continuation of the 2011 Reflections shows discussion - Lol played percussion and keys during those shows instead.)
