But hey, I think the visuals released with the album are crucial to the album's enjoyment. You don't. It is what it is. I'm not saying (and I think you wish I was) that I'll love any old shit just because of pretty pictures. But neither will I buy a sofa if I don't like its upholstery, even if I can sit on it.

You can take the upholstery off, or just cover it with you own. Kinda like not buying a house because you don't like the tile in the downstairs bathroom. Different strokes for different folks, and so on and so on.

I don't have the money for new upholstery Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to throw an album out because the artwork sucks. But if the artwork is so ill-conceived that I'm annoyed about it, it will diminish the album by 0.2 stars. And if I love the artwork, I'm that much more invested in trying with the music.
