I have watched the first 6 eps and it feels like it's still in pilot mode. I'll persist though.

Yes. The story was getting to be too much and to compound that problem, the long waits between seasons make me forget the plot points.

I love this. Any time a creator can end on time, on their own terms, it's a good thing. I'll miss the show because it's amazing and infinitely explore-able. But, yes, this is a good thing. Art isn't meant to go on forever. If they've had an end in mind since S2, then they shouldn't keep going just because.

This was a great finale. Haven't felt emotional after the end of a series in a long time. This was a great cast, the story was inventive, and the writing was hilarious. This last season had a few low moments as they ramped up to the finale, but these last two episodes and what they turned the Good Place universe into for the humans was a perfect ending for me.

It ended exactly as expected, yet unlike anything I imagined. Perfect ending to the series.

I didn't think they were going to go that route. Pleasantly surprised and quite moved, honestly. Great finale.

I especially love how it all came together thematically and philosophically. The show got a little lost and off track in terms of the premise and philosophic throughline at times.

It was nice to see that they chose to connect the philosophy to the heart again and use that lens to frame the ending. It was really lovely.

From the beginning, knowing they were already dead, there was only one way it could end.

I suppose?

But it wasn't until a few episodes ago that I even considered what ultimately happened. And even with the introduction of that idea, I still never really considered what we got. There were a million ways to do this without going where they went.
