I will probably give this a listen sometime soon. How did you decide what to put on here and what songs to leave off? I'm scared I might miss something good by not listening to the entire collection. Is that possible or were you sure to include everything of value?

Just eyeballing the tracklist, I seriously doubt they left off anything of value. My 22 year old self would really enjoy having a second compilation with just the found sounds, though.

Things I left off:

- crap-sounding Thom demos
- cringey Thom demos
- ambient recordings of people drinking coffee and cows shitting
- various live & reherasal versions of the same song (there are lots)
- cut/incomplete songs (there are lots of these too)
- various repeats of master & alternate studio mixes

If anything, there are a few Thom demos and maybe a few live versions that might be important to some people. But I would just wait until someone chops the whole thing apart (and does a good job of it) to go delving beyond this.

i'm as intrigued by how serene the early acoustic version of airbag is as i am that that brilliant, angular intro riff seems to have been the last piece of the song's puzzle. the tension it adds makes the song an entirely different animal.

i can never get enough of these kinds of peaks into the compositional decisions and creative processes of brilliant artists. the twists and turns of what pieces of art were, are, and could have been are endlessly fascinating.

Thanks for this! Down-tuned No Surprises is interesting, as it's been noted that in order to get the tempo correct the band recorded it and it was pitched down before the vocals were added (hence why it's damn near impossible to play properly on guitar). Wasn't there a 10-minute Paranoid Android in here somewhere I read about?

I'm not a big Radiohead fan, outside of having their albums, but the collector in me demanded that I grab your 'Every Last Crumb' comp and now this.
It looks great with nice artwork too - much preferable to sifting through 18 separate MD's.
