 Yeah, I hadn't thought of that but you're totally right.

I like what he's doing on this song. *If* they mixed it without a bunch of hyped breathiness, I think it could make for a lovely studio track.
yeah they need to record it with air in the damn room. fingers crossed?

I really like this fucking song a whole lot.
Me too, but that version starts off pretty rough vocally.

It could sound heavenly in studio, but probably won't with BOB.

the second half he really sounds great.

i have no faith in current BOB with a track like that, unfortunately. needs to sound like the third track off merkin ball.

He does finish very strong. It will probably be drenched in strings, but not in a "Western Stars" type of way.

Yes. At a huge outdoor festival. I will concede that a small theater is likely much better.

I saw him at the Ryman in Nashville back on his first solo outing. While I enjoyed it, it’s not something I see myself ever needing to do again.

I saw him in Atlanta on round 2 of solo shows and loved it.

However, I just watched Black from a recent solo gig and it was almost unlistanable. I LOVE Eddie Vedder, but that was hard to listen to.

Always loved his solo gigs but will admit it's been diminishing returns over the last 10 years.

Water On The Road is a pretty great distillation of what the shows are like - and that's from 2008. Though it would be cool to see this Red Limo Quartet thing in action.

All that said, if he's coming near me I'm obviously going and will probably cry during a song.
Spoiler: show

The first tour felt really special and unique. Ed was definitely nervous and it made him focus. The fans also weren’t sure what to expect.

It felt personal and like an intimate conversation

The last couple I saw and have listened to ? Feels like a drunken frat party. Ed eggs it on. Stomping, clapping, screaming, Singing loudly. Playing with little to no subtlety. Overblown on the covers, covers of which don’t really lend itself to the story of the show.
