I DLd NBA 2k19 for PS4 cause it was like $2. Looking forward to playing it when I go home this weekend.Monkey_Driven wrote:It's slow at first, but then becomes so addicting.i got bugs wrote:Finally hopping on board the hollow knight train
Downloaded NBA 2k19 for the Switch because of the crazy deal and the portability factor. It is chugs a bit and is clearly struggling to get to 720p, but the gameplay and modes/options are identical to the other versions. Pretty impressed.
Looking forward to having it as an option when I'm out of town.

I recommend playing the tutorial quite a bit. The controls are quite complicated if you're new to the series.

Re: What are you playing?
I'm not new to the series. An NBA 2K game was one of the first I bought when I got a PS4, soon after it was released, cause there weren't many games to choose from. I think I got it and that one game where you're the spray painter guy flying around the city shooting stuff outta your hands. If I remember correctly, those were the only two available and they both blew my mind. I played the shit outta that basketball game and got very good. I mostly just stuck to the make-a-player and work your way up mode. I pretty much maxed everything out and became unstoppable. Something I struggled with though was what I should set the gameclock at. In order to break records realistically I figured it should be on real game clock settings but then I'd score too many points, etc.. What do you think about this, MD?Monkey_Driven wrote:$3.99*tree_ wrote:I DLd NBA 2k19 for PS4 cause it was like $2. Unless you grind like crazy your max attributes get stuck around the high 80s/low 90s mark in the MyPlayer mode now.tree_ wrote:I'm not new to the series. As far as realistic stats, it depends heavily on the difficulty you are playing at and if you are playing as the team or just in the MyPlayer mode.

Re: What are you playing?
I only am really interested in playing make-a-player mode. I want my stats to be realistic relative to the rest of the league's. I think if I remember correctly the only way to achieve this was to set the game clock to like 10 min/qtr.

I'd say the 9-10 minute mark would be about right. Your teammates stats will be all jacked up though.tree_ wrote:I only am really interested in playing make-a-player mode. I've played a lot of MyTeam in this year's version. Fun challenges every week.

How do I make it so everything is realistic relative to everything else!?Monkey_Driven wrote:I'd say the 9-10 minute mark would be about right. Also, what camera angle is best? I struggle figuring all this out.

10-11 minute quarters and don't be a ball hog.tree_ wrote:How do I make it so everything is realistic relative to everything else!?Monkey_Driven wrote:I'd say the 9-10 minute mark would be about right. I used the 2K camera angle so I can see plays develop.

Alright... but Michael Jordan was a ball hog and he was the "greatest"... but OKMonkey_Driven wrote:10-11 minute quarters and don't be a ball hog.tree_ wrote:How do I make it so everything is realistic relative to everything else!?Monkey_Driven wrote:I'd say the 9-10 minute mark would be about right. I'm about 2/3rds through Dark Souls on the Switch. I decided on a sorceries only plythru. Great for bosses, but utter dogshit vs. mobs.

I was close to picking this up on the PS4 during their Days of Play sale, but couldn't pull the trigger. Sekiro is still too fresh.Ello Sailor wrote:I'm about 2/3rds through Dark Souls on the Switch. I decided on a sorceries only plythru. Great for bosses, but utter dogshit vs. mobs.

Re: What are you playing?
That's fair. To be honest, I wouldn't recommend it. It's expensive and buggy, and pales in comparison to the 'Prepare to Die' edition on Steam/Playstation. It was cool being able to play on a long haul flight, though.
