We're Outta Here = Getaway
Our Future Days = Future Days

Apollo = Yellow Moon
Post Script = Let the Records Play
Undertow = Swallowed Whole
The trouble I'm having with this whole change-the-track-name-at-the-last-second idea is that they would have, in turn, had to change the lyrics to the song, because in 99% of their songs the track name is included throughout the song. So do we really think they saw the track list leak and said, "welp, lets go re-record all these songs?"
Hell, maybe they did, but I'd find it hard to believe.

I can think of maybe two concept albums I like, but for some reason I think pj could make an enjoyable one.

Re: Lightning Bolt -- guess the tracks!
Ugh and we got our first shitty song title. "Let the Records Play" It sounds like a Green Day song or something.
And we were doing so good. I was loving Swallowed Whole, Yellow Moon, Getaway. But this one sucks. Oh well, maybe it will be the best song on the record

I don't know what to think. At this point im gonna stick with assuming its not a concept album in any way shape or form, lest i be dissapointed when it doesn't happen.
We've got religion- MYM, Gettaway
Guns-Yellow Moon, MYM maybe? do they lyrics refer to them at all?
Politics- Swallowed whole maybe? Someone said the globe looked like the UN symbol
The Environment - swallowed whole could be to do with global warming or someshit, people have been saying LB could be about mother nature
Lurve- FD, sirens, LB seems like its about a doomed relationship to me.
All these things are standard pj song topics. And have appeared on the same albums as eachother before.
If they changed post script to let the records play, they are stupid.
I only just realised thats the sponge tracklist, c'mon guys, c'mon

It's very easy to make more than one title out of any song you like.NothingBetterMan wrote:Second time poster. Re: Lightning Bolt -- guess the tracks!
Oh, well I never meant to suggest that they changed any song titles at the last moment. That speculation belongs to someone else. I'm just suggesting that that photo of the "tracklist" was leaked intentionally as a joke, but that for the song titles that hadn't been mentioned anywhere else, the band/someone decided to have a little fun with the unknown titles just to rile some people up.NothingBetterMan wrote:Second time poster. Re: Lightning Bolt -- guess the tracks!
I think LB is about a doomed relationship with a lot of metaphorical work to do with a woman's love being as all encompassing and welcoming as mother nature, but just as likely to reject you. The imagery is too "cosmic" and global to make me think it's "just a song about a girl". And a Lightning Bolt is a surfboard... blah blah I've said all this before.
