Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Nick wiger of the Doughboys podcast is frequently complaining about Heathcliff comics not making sense.

He's right, but it doesn't make them any less funny.

tragabigzanda wrote:I never knew about this phenomenon. What’s the general consensus on these? Was Heathcliff a more subversive/surreal comic than I’ve given it credit for? Or was the writer just not making any sense?
I think the vast majority of them make sense. PG just has a different sense of humor.

I started following Adam Koford on instagram years ago. I don't remember how. He workshops his stuff on instagram under @apelad. It's nice break from feed monotony while scrolling.
