Re: NBA Thread
Look at it this way: A season of obscurity pretty much guarantees less interest in the team. Low attendance among other things. An NBA team is just like any other business and the fans are the customers. Less fans equals less customers and ultimately less profit, not to mention the benign gameplay on the court.E.H. Just don't feel like that's in any way "good" is all.

I heard he didn't miss a shot when he worked out for the C's. I thought they were gonna take him.

Anybody in this thread could run the Lakers better than the clowns they have running that show. They actually forgot that the dates for the AD trade matter!! How is that even possible...

It must be heartbreaking to the other teams around the league that the Lakers can bungle their way into superstars despite utter incompetence. Though if I was 25 I'd choose 75 degrees with a 10 in LA over 35 degrees with a doughy 6 in Boston too.

Re: NBA Thread
It is pretty absurd. They've managed to get two of the six best players in the league in the last 12 months and somehow still screwed it up. That takes an impressive level of incompetence.bada wrote:It must be heartbreaking to the other teams around the league that the Lakers can bungle their way into superstars despite utter incompetence.

For what it's worth I don't think they are going to win the title. Large Idiot doesn't know how to win and LeBron is too old to win.

I disagree with the bolded. I agree they are very unlikely to win, but that's probably because the rest of the roster is going to be a trainwreck.verb_to_trust wrote:For what it's worth I don't think they are going to win the title. Large Idiot doesn't know how to win and LeBron is too old to win.

I don't think LeBron can flip the switch anymore. I'm also skeptical either can stay healthy.4/5 wrote:I disagree with the bolded. Re: NBA Thread
Health is definitely a legitimate concern for both. I still trust playoff LeBron. Ideally he'd have a roster that plays good enough defense that he can hide on that end of the floor during the regular season without it wrecking team defense like last season, but he may not have that again.verb_to_trust wrote:I don't think LeBron can flip the switch anymore. I could definitely be giving him too much benefit of the doubt, but I think when he came back last season he was probably still more injured than he let on, so I'm not ready to say that the February and March version of him is the new LeBron, but he's at that age where it could be. But even that diminished version of LeBron was still one of the very best offensive players in the league.

Yeah, that was embarrassing. They were 6-11 while he was out, so idk if they actually got worse than they were without him, but they sure didn't get better. And it definitely felt a lot worse that they were so bad with playoff mode activated LeBron.verb_to_trust wrote:He also "activated playoff mode" and the team became much worse.

Gordon Hayward is a Trump supporter and proposed to his wife 5 months after she graduated high school (he was 23). What a loser.

Re: NBA Thread
They picked exactly who you would have expected they pick given the players available. In this case it's not a bad thing. I think White has a chance to be better than Garland. Daniel Gafford was a lottery pick last season who came back to school, put up the same stats, and for some reason was a second rounder in a bad draft. I guess that's because he didn't improve his shot or something but his tape looks fine to me.Bammer wrote:Can’t tell if seriousverb_to_trust wrote:The Bulls had a good draft. GOOD JOB GARPAX
