Why is everybody acting so surprised that AD waived his trade kicker? Conspiracy theories aside, why wouldn't he? He already passed on the supermax, people really shouldn't be surprised.

I'm not surprised, It's just disappointing that everything is going to come up roses for them.
Born on 3rd, thinks he hit a triple.
Would be interesting if Kemba goes there, I'm just already annoyed with the amount of coverage they're getting and it hasn't happened yet.

Re: NBA Thread
Charlotte is in a really tough position. Kemba is a really nice player and I like him, but he's not a supermax guy. I think both sides know that the best thing for both is for him to leave, but it still sucks.Peeps wrote:how do you feel now that the apparently lowballed him (saying 160 million is lowballed almost makes me wanna puke)verb_to_trust wrote:I don't see Kemba leaving Charlotte for Boston.

i agree some what that he isnt a supermax guy to other teams in the league
but for charlotte, as a fa and you see what they offered and could have offered him why would you be inclined to go there?

Re: NBA Thread
I saw Jim Calhoun on NBC Sports Boston last night talking about how great Kemba would be with the Celtics. Don't think he'd do that interview if it wasn't a done deal. They are really close still. Unless MJ changes his mind and gives him the max looks like he'll choose Boston. Uconn back in the Big East and Kemba on the Cs. Good week.

I think Kemba is a good fit for the Celtics. What are they going to do at center though?

35 million a year for Kemba? I thought Boston didn't max out midget guards?

And then there was Kyrie. Wow. I was expecting him to try to put a gun to the Lakers head and make them pick him before Kawhi made his choice.

Re: NBA Thread
So pointless, especially since they will lose something in the sign and trade.

Re: NBA Thread
I doubt the Heat will pull that off. I don't really want him, but it's not like the Sixers have any leverage in this situation, so hopefully Miami wouldn't give up any real assets. Seeing as Richardson and Bam are basically the only decent guys on the team I'm fine with any version of a trade that doesn't involve them or 1st round picks.
Maybe the Sixers will take Whiteside and try to assemble the least amount of shooting on one team since the 1970s.

Re: NBA Thread
He's okay but I'm tired of waiting for him to turn the corner. Every time it seems like he has he misses 8 games for some random injury. He actually was pretty decent last year running the point when Dragic was out, so it's not that I'm giving up on him, but I'm losing hope that he'll be much more than he is at this point. Hope he proves me wrong.verb_to_trust wrote:What about Winslow?

I'm good with that. Those two should enjoy the New York media market.Monkey_Driven wrote:Durant to the Nets with Kyrie.
