doug, yesterday I thought of you while sipping a lone star longneck on the back porch while tossing a frisbee to my dog to the tune of "Sundown."

Ordered breakfast tacos in Dallas and pretty sure they came with Pace Picante salsa. I think that sums up the culinary scene in The Big D quite well.

I know I’m in KC so I should get BBQ but I kind of want to try a Filipino place I found nearby. I’ve never had dinuguan before...

Re: Dining While Travelling
I know this belongs in the controversial food thread, but BBQ is generally overrated. Don't misunderstand me, I LOVE good BBQ, but 85% of the places people tell me about being the best ever is just, good.

I could be down with that. I really like BBQ but to be honest I kinda think the sides are more important than the meat. I had Terry Black’s in Austin and the brisket was super good but their coleslaw was shit and it kinda ruined everything.

Re: Dining While Travelling
I get what you’re putting down, ruddo. And jeremy makes a good point re the sides - there’s good bbq, then there’s good bbq places.

Re: Dining While Travelling
See, I don’t care for most of the sides anyway, so that doesn’t factor into at all for me. Unless they have sides I actually LIKE, then that’s a special place indeed.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I could be down with that.
