In every one of these "look, Millennials making the economy work" stories there's a sublimated moment where, if you pick it apart, it reveals that they're actually from upper middle class backgrounds and have received substantial support from their families. Here, it's not just the phone plan but also the fact that her mom paid $250 of her student loans every month.
