My first SK show in November, on my birthday, and no Janet fucking Weiss. Unless she's still gonna do this tour? Why leave? What's wrong with a new direction? What a crybaby.

If she’s not feeling the music it’s hard to blame her

Why did she wait so long to leave though? She had to start feeling this immediately upon recording.

Also she looked bored as fuck on their tonight show performance.

Also, look...i love St. Vincent but why not leave that gimmick to her? Its so fucking obvious when listening to the track the influence and borderline embarrassing when they show up LOOKING like her.

I love these new tracks but St. Vincent does nothing for me. The heavier rock sound of S-K is what SV’s stuff was always missing for me, I think.

St. Vincent's plan of joining S-K as a band member is coming to fruition.

And no, it’s not S-K with another drummer.
You know, maybe it has something to do with getting older -- or maybe it's being a long time PJ fan? -- but this argument is so boring to me anymore. It's lost all luster and conviction. And I totally used to be right there with you guys.

generally i'd agree with this, but to me this is an entirely different situation. first, there's just 3 of them, so losing a third of your band is pretty big. second, they've been this core for 20+ years. had this happened, say, 3 years into their tenure (ie. PJ example), then that's one thing. it's not like anyone cared when their former drummers left. but let's say Nirvana had been around for 20 years, and suddenly Dave Grohl left. that'd be a pretty big deal.

plus, she was such a creative talent behind so many of the band's songs :(

Its totally a new phase for the band and teh band was always Corin and Carrie. Janet came afterwards...they didnt change the name before why now?
Im really bummed out with Janet leaving, but i guess the music didnt represent her..Maybe it was a business thing? who knows..Knowing her im sure she will tell the whole story sometime.

Janet is right to leave. The music has sucked since The Woods and I wouldn't want to be in a declining three piece that has basically turned into a vehicle for Carrie and Annie scissoring.

Don't late night performances typically sound pretty bad? Is this unusual?
