As I've said before, I'd love for Zori Bliss to be Rey's "connection" to her past. I think it would be awesome if Rey's parents -- who were actual junk traders and did actually sell Rey off for drinking money -- sold her to Zori. And Zori recognized something special and unique and powerful about her and hid her away on Jakku.

I also wouldn't hate if they made Zori Rey's sister and did a slightly different version of what I said above. That could be pretty cool, too. They probably will make her Rey's mom, though. That seems like the most obvious thing. And JJ will artfully retcon what TLJ set up with some cutesie dialogue that half the fans will love and the other half will hate.

We'll all find out soon enough. I imagine, whatever the "answers" are, if they're well executed, I'll hop on board. There is no wrong answer here, for me. Only well or poorly crafted answers.

It is very likely that Kylo lied to Rey in some form, and if that is proven to be the case, it wouldn’t go against TLJ or Rian. It’s actually a little bit strange to me if everything he said was true word for word.

E.H. Ruddock wrote:One thing that Rebels, Clone Wars, and books are/were heavy on is stuff like Jedi artifacts and traditions. I wish the movies would tap into that a little more. I'm talking about stuff like the holocrons, dark saber (I know, not Jedi), construction of the light sabers with crystals, the brother/sister story, that journey yoda went on to learn to be a force ghost, the time portal stuff. That kind of stuff is really cool. Not saying the movies have to make it a feature, but just throw something in there with like a 2 minute history. Some old guy giving Finn the dark saber, and telling him about the storied history behind the weapon. (I know that is cheesy, I'm just using it as an example). Or Rey on a journey to build her own light saber, etc.

100% agree. This is not a TLJ hater post (I like the movie) but I feel like there was a bit of a missed opportunity to delve in to some of this with the ancient Jedi texts, tree & Yoda scene.

I'm not sure a movie is the best place for lore deep dives.

Also there's a ton of merch revolving round the new "Sith Troopers" from TRoS.

Colour aside the gear looks a lot busier than regular stormtroopers kit
