Passion of the Christ is clearly Good Friday torture porn, not Christmas torture porn.

I also try to watch the New Girl S1 Thanksgiving ep every year on/near Thanksgiving. Time depending, I'll run through all the Friends Thanksgiving eps. But the New Girl ep is mandatory.

I don't watch it with the kids... well, my own kid watched it with me this past May, after I got home and fairly elevated.

Greatest thing about teaching is you get that last day every year, hit the reset button, and do it all over again.

It the “do it all over again” that would keep me from doing it in the first place.

Different kids, different personalities, different scenarios...

Always learning, always getting better, always helping...

Most other professionals either work closely with the same annoying faces year after year, and/or perform the same tasks day after day. It's nice to have the break, the time to reflect and plan for what lies ahead knowing the material, what worked well last time, and what changes need to be made for next time.

Maybe a better scenario exists for me, but I cannot imagine a more intrinsically rewarding way to make a living...

the pay and lack of resources does suck, though, so it's nice to live in a beautiful area where fun hobbies are relatively inexpensive.

Back on topic...

Space Jam
(last day of school... with the kids... in class)

The Nightmare Before Christmas
(feels like I'm growing out of this one)

YELLOW SUBMARINE
(not officially or anything, but I guarantee we watch it at least once per year)

Electric Apricot
(same... I've recommended this one plenty on rm... so far, no feedback )
