Believe it’s called River Cross

This one is better than all of Lightning Bolt.
It's the one he's been playing, yeah?

I've only heard this one. Unsure how many times it's been played. It's certainly one of the best things to come out of Ed in quite some time. I agree with what dime said too, in that Ed sounds much better when he's not shrieking.

i thought it had some promise when he first played it, and i was hoping it would have evolved a bit over the years..

if it went somewhere else in the second half, other than to the "don't hold me down (or "doan")" bit, it could be something.

i'll still take 'out of sand' over it

I’m surprised to hear this one has been around a while. First I’ve heard of it.
I sort of love it as it is and unless the band really bring their a game and make it a huge mood piece rather than a rocker it could be an amazing new gig opener or Center piece song.

I think it’s wonderful

i think it's sweet how we post here as if the band is anywhere close to even thinking about making new music

If it’s been around a couple of years and been played a few times, it could go either way.
Either just a live thing he breaks out once in a while, or brought to the band so they can ruin it. I’m kidding but that could go either way too.

thanks for sharing; yeah, this one's been around a couple years but this is the best and most recent recording I've heard.

I wouldn't mind seeing how it evolves, if it does, and maybe make the new record, which maybe or maybe not happens, the record that is

The lyrics in that sound very forced. Like a another band was trying to write a PJ song
"The fatal flaw of all revolutionaries is that they know how to tear things down but don't have a f**king clue about how to build anything."

The more time passes, the more excited we get for really mediocre songs.

It's an interesting sketch but it's not a song that excites me yet. I'd be thrilled to hear it live, in the room, to be sure. But it feels undone. If there was any real chance it could be expanded and given some real weird space, I think it could be something really special and potentially unique withing the PJ canon.

If by “expanded and given some weird space” you mean “compressed to 2 minutes and 45 seconds with three power pop chords” then, yes, it would fit into the PJ canon.

I feel like you have a random post generator that just assumes common words/phrases but you don't bother reading the board anymore. Not that I blame you. I guess what I'm saying is, can you give me a link to your random post generator?
