I'm ready to purchase the lawnmower but I want to get a good deal. I know I want these things: 1. Self-Propelled 2. Easy maneuvering (I have trees and posts to mow around.) 3. Should I just go to the store and find what I want which is listed at around the $300 price point or look for something second hand and sacrifice some of my wants for the sake of saving money? I could probably find something serviceable for around $150 but then I'd miss out on the warranty and all that.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

You're right. I'm just kicking myself for not buying it from Lowe's during the Memorial Day sale when it was $40 off the tag plus store discounts.

I've always mowed with self propulsion, except when I used to have to go mow my grandpa's yard when I was a teenager. That really turned me off on push mowers.

I was joking about the be a man part. But if your years isn't too big and it's flat, you can save yourself some money. Most nicer mowers probably have it whether you want it or not, though

Though by my math, I've got about 7-8 mows left until the end of the season. At that rate, I've passed the threshold in which buying versus paying someone else to do it makes financial sense. Better to just save during the off-season for a great mower.

Every two weeks. One mow left at the end of July, two in August, two in September, two in October, maybe one in November.

With all the rain we’re still getting, it’s awful if I have to wait two weeks to mow.

Oh don't get me wrong. My lawn looks like a woolly mammoth there in the days leading up to the mow, but that's just the way it is.

Quick question, guys. What's the best way to keep a bathroom sink drain clear of whiskers, toothpaste and lady hair if the drain stopper is permanently attached?
