I don't get this sentiment at all. I thought the turntable was great, and the guy preaching to the two dunces was a bit provocative, which I like. This one, to me, seems to be in the same vein as all of them. What I guess I'm saying is that I really have zero clue how you all define lame.
I don't know if I define lame in the same way as "us all". We're not all programmed or anything. I love the themes, nearly all of the song titles, but from an artistic standpoint, the first four images are by far my favourite. All this "OMG you have different opinion to me? You're dead inside!" is getting really boring.

But RM certainly has a different culture than that other place, and we freely criticise and analyse this band's every move. So it's ironic that with this PJ track reveal, we seem to be the only ones enjoying it...

I used to post on the PJ forum, but I've never had a membership--I grew up in Newfoundland, knowing they'd never tour there (oops!!), so the fanclub membership seemed pointless to me. At this point, I'd love to have a crack at tickets earlier than everyone else, but my membership # would be so far down the list now, why bother?

I have to say, I was disappointed to hear an interview with him recently where he admitted to finally giving up on recording to tape. I wonder if that hasn't contributed to everything since Riot Act sounding a bit tinny (I realize he didn't produce the S/T, but same thing in all likelihood).
I don't see the step down. They may be a bit more obvious in imagery but that's ok considering how complicated iconic and symbolic art can be. Gives a little grounding. The content of the song still plays a big part.
