It was corny and not the moment of levity that it was intended to be, at least for me. I'm probably in the minority here. I was always afraid to watch the movie that was from and then one day I was too old and said "fuck it. Guess I'm never seeing that one."

Most of the Russian bunker stuff and the four kids was so over the top it lost me a lot but the rest of it was fun.

So I finally watched this season. I enjoyed but have never loved the series as much as others. I'll watch when it returns but I doubt I will re-watch. I was surprised how much they amped some of horror/gore scenes compared to before.
I kept thinking of IT during the big finale with the Mind Flayer.
