I gotta be honest. Since AOC arrived on the national stage, I've been skeptical. I've wanted to like her. But she's been limited. She's still young. But I'll tell you what... the way she's reacted to being in the public spotlight, the way she's risen to the occasion, the way she's stayed articulate and expanded, the way she's learned, the way she's grown... I'm blown away.

The woman is a beacon of fucking light in this goddamn sewer of a country under Donald Fucking Asshole Traitor Putin Puppet Trump. He is weak. He is ineffectual. AOC is everything I would want my child to be. She is America. She is stellar. She's not perfect. She's still learning. She's still growing. But I have no idea how any rational human can look at her journey and not feel inspired and moved and ready to take up arms.

Good for her. I hope she continues to be excellent. I hope she continues to get better. I hope she lives up to our hype. I hope she exceeds expectations. I hope she keeps fighting.

And I know there are plenty here who will attack me for my point of view or continue to attack AOC for hers. And that's fine. I just wanted to speak out with her because I'm impressed. And I was worried when she first arrived. But she's proving me wrong. And I think she'll probably prove the haters wrong too.

You're entitled to your opinion. I respectfully disagree. That's not at all what I'm doing or what I'm about. You've completely missed the point if that's what you're getting from me. Perhaps that's my fault. Or perhaps it's your own misogyny. You picked me to be an enemy a long time ago. And you picked me because you saw me as vulnerable. You saw me as vulnerable because I speak up for and out about women and I try to do my homework to undo the societal sexism that we've all been programmed with.
